For quite some time, Indian cricketers didn't sport jersey numbers, but since the 2019 series against the West Indies, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (they themselves) brought in a system. To start with, players were given numbers following their seniority, now the current policy lets players to select their own numbers, once they don't
